Project Description

Condition Druid

Core Weapons

Viper’s Axe and Torch with Geomancy and Earth Sigils

Viper’s Shortbow with Earth and Geomancy Sigils (Melee)

Situational Weapons

Off-hand Viper’s Axe and Dagger with Earth or Geomancy Sigils

Viper’s Shortbow with Earth and Bursting Sigils (Ranged)

Stat Infusions

18 Malign Infusion

Rare Veggie Pizza Or Prickly Pear Pie and Toxic Focusing Crystals

On bosses where your team constantly takes damage such as Vale Guardian Rare Veggie Pizza will give you superior damage and astral force generation shouldn’t be an issue. However some bosses like Sabetha put very little pressure on your team, leaving you unable to enter avatar fast enough to buff without messing up quickdraw, here Prickly Pear Pies can be used to help generate more astral force.

CC Breakdown

This variant is useful for Mathias where you should use  Healing Spring to cleanse your team’s conditions in each of Mathias’ elemental phases.

This variant is useful on Mathias and Deimos, where protection relieves a huge amount of pressure from your team. Nature magic is not essential to maintain protection, but as your teammates will be quite spread on these encounters, the extra duration from  Nature’s Vengeance can help with protection uptime.

It should be noted that swapping wilderness survival for Nature Magic is a personal DPS loss, but  Bountiful Hunter helps minimize the loss in damage.

Glyph of RejuvenationFrost Spirit, Sun SpiritGlyph of EmpowermentGlyph of Unity

If you are in the same sub group as a condi ranger you can have them bring Sun Spirit. This frees up an extra utility slot for a utility glyphs. At Vale Guardian it can make the fight safer as it lets you bring Glyph of Tides for more seeker control.

Juvenile Tiger

Juvenile Tiger

Furious Pounce provides AoE fury and is one of the highest DPS pets in the game.

Druids should always use Tiger.

Juvenile Pink Moa

Pink Moa

Dazing Screech does 200 breakbar damage.

Use Pink Moa for bosses where you need CC on a small hit box target.

Juvenile Black Moa

Black Moa

Dazing Screech does 300 breakbar damage.

Use Black Moa for bosses where you need CC on a small hit box target. If you have it, you should use it over Pink Moa since it does 100 more breakbar damage.

To acquire Black Moa, you must be a player of the original Guild Wars and unlock in the Hall of Monuments rewards.

Juvenile Electric Wyvern

Electric Wyvern

Lightning Assault can deal 700 breakbar damage to large hit boxes, it also has Wing Buffet for another CC.

Use Electric Wyvern for Gorseval, Sloth and Keep Construct.

Juvenile Red Moa

Red Moa

Furious Screech provides AoE fury.

Use on Condi Druid/Ranger at the start of the fight if CC from another pet is not needed.

Juvenile Lynx

Lynx

The highest DPS pet in the game.

Use on Condi Ranger if fury from Tiger is not needed.

Juvenile Smokescale

Smokescale

Smoke Cloud is a Smoke Field but does not apply blind to foes.

Use for stealth skips.

Condi druid combines all the buffing capabilities a druid can offer, while also contributing significant damage. Although the build can only provide small heals, it is more than enough to cover the damage at most bosses. This build should be ran by both druids for every encounter, except for some where 1 Magi’s druid druid is beneficial for the team.

Grace of the Land

  1. Your goal should be to enter celestial avatar after every weapon swap, then buffing your team with  Rejuvenating Tides and  Seed Of Life. Make sure you always use  Seed Of Life last, so that the heal procs outside avatar, to refill your astral force and refresh a stack of grace of the land. If your team is low or the heal will restore a dps player’s scholar bonus then use lunar impact before seed of life. When you’re struggling to generate enough astral force to enter avatar try using   Prickly Pear pie or  Water Sigil (instead of earth sigils). In the event that it still isn’t enough then try to only enter avatar while on axe/torch becuase shortbow has higher sustained DPS from it’s auto. In the down time between avatars you should be spamming glyphs to maintain GolL and generate astral force. Always cast  Glyph Of empowerment when it’s off cooldown unless to know an invuln phase is about to happen. For the other glyphs you should delay casting them by around 5 seconds after you leave celestial avatar so that you don’t over write the  Grace Of The Land stacks.

  2. If you are in the same sub group as a condi ranger you can have them bring  Sun Spirit This frees up an extra utility slot, for example  at Vale Guardian can make the fight safer as it lets you bring  Glyph Of Tides for more seeker control. However with two druids buffing GOTL in a 5-5 mirror squad, you don’t need the extra glyph unless it adds utility to a certain fight. In these cases you should take  Sun Spirit &  Frost Spirit and let your condi ranger maximize their dps by taking another trap!
  3. 4. In general, if you have Condi PS warriors providing fury, you can replace tiger with Jungle Stalker to provide additional might for your team!
If you’re going to green circles, then try to be on shortbow when going to the greens, since has stronger ranged capabilities. Quickdraw your bonfire when you move back into melee, and repeat this for each green than spawns.

If you’re going to red guardian during the split, then start on shortbow and do your normal buffing rotation after quickdrawing bonfire. You should only use Concussion Shot  and save your more important CC’s for the boss itself.

If you’re going to blue in the split then quickdraw your Bonfire  and then buff your allies straight away with Rejuvenating Tides  and then camp avatar until Blue guardian dies, since you will be under high pressure while tanking both guardian’s auras in the split. If you get enough astral force back, then you can enter avatar a second time for the green guardian, otherwise just use glyphs to keep people’s health sustained.

For the boss itself,  Start on Tiger and use it’s f2 to give fury(after the boon strip has occured) Do your normal rotation on the boss. For CC you can swap to Wyvern and use Lunar Impact  if you’re in avatar already.

For seekers, you should time your Glyph Of Tides  with the other druid/Engi to keep them away from your group. You can also use Natural convergence  to immobilize multiple seekers at once, while also providing Grace Of The land .

For the boss itself,  Start on Tiger and use it’s f2 to give fury(after the boon strip has occured) Do your normal rotation on the boss. For CC you can swap to Wyvern and use Lunar Impact  if you’re in avatar already.

During the split, try to keep up your rotation, and use your glyphs to maintain  Grace Of The land  and cure the weakness applied by the ghosts. If your group lets all the ghosts run to the middle then use Natural convergence  to immobilize all of them.

If Gorseval is about to enter his CC phase soon, then you can delay your avatar slightly to provide heals against his retaliation damage. If the boss is going to phase soon then you should save your Glyph Of empowerment  for the split!

As a condition Druid, you are most likely going to be kiting Sabetha’s Flak Shot. It’s really important that you buff/heal your allies with Grace Of The land . inbetween her flak shots. She will shoot them every ~8 seconds, so you have to be quite fast with buffing to be able to move out again so the flak doesn’t hit your group! Since astral force is quite hard to generate on sabetha, You most likely won’t be able to enter avatar each time you move into the group. I would recommend using  Rejuvenating Tides  & Seed Of Life  and then the next time you move in, use your glyphs  to maintain  Grace Of The land

Try to be on shortbow as much as you can when you move out, since shortbow has stronger ranged damage than axe/torch. When Sabetha returns during the last phase, you may want to camp avatar and heal using Lunar Impact  since it’s a quite high pressure part of the fight!

For pets, you can start on Red Moa for burst fury at the beginning, and then use Tiger as usual for the rest of the fight. If you don’t trust your team’s CC on Knuckles, you can also use Wyvern instead of Red Moa.

You should play Axe/Torch + Axe/Axe at Sloth, since it’s vital as a druid to pull the slublings into the cleave range of your group. The slublings spawn every 30 seconds starting from 6:30 on the enrage timer, so you should base your rotation around that, and try to be ready to pull with Path Of Scars .

Make sure to buff your group, after his CC has finished, so you don’t waste any modifiers while he is immune to damage!

I would recommend using double CC pets at sloth, since fury will be covered by Condi Ps warriors. You should use Wyvern &  Pink Moa for every CC if possible. You can also use Lunar Impact  & Natural convergence  while in avatar to give  Grace Of The land  for the next DPS phase while simultaneously CC’ing the boss.

If your chronomancers are not cleansing Sloth’s fear, then you can run “Protect me”  to stun break your subgroup every time.

Condi druid at Mathias only works well in very experienced groups, where you also have a Magi’s druid dedicated to healing the team, while you provide Grace Of The land  as well as some minor healing. Make sure you Buff your team just before his shield is reflected, so you don’t waste any modifiers while he is immune to damage!

I would recommend using double CC pets at Matthias , since fury will be covered by Condi Ps warriors. You should use Wyvern &  Pink Moa as well as  Lunar Impact  & Natural convergence  if You’re in avatar at the time!

You should run Healing Spring  to remove conditions from your allies, and take Stone Spirit  instead of Frost Spirit  to provide protection for your subgroup. If your Subgroup has mainly Power DPS professions, then you can replace Glyph Of empowerment  with Frost Spirit .

If you’re going up to towers, you can replace your entire skillbar with Glyphs like Glyph Of empowerment Glyph Of Tides  & Glyph Of Equality  to push out the mobs, and keep them stunned/blinded!
For the boss itself,  Start on Tiger and use it’s f2 to give fury(after the boon strip has occured) Do your normal rotation on the boss. For CC you can swap to Wyvern and use Lunar Impact  if you’re in avatar already.

Make sure you are ready to buff Grace Of The land  at the beginning of each burn phase, and make sure to delay your  Glyph Of empowerment  a few seconds, until your team starts casting their more high damage abilities.

You should play Axe/Torch + Axe/Axe on Xera since it’s really important to pull the mobs she spawns into cleave range of your group using Path Of Scars .

You can also use Path Of Scars  to pull an orb into the rifts at the beginning. On the platforms drop some glyphs for your subgroup and then range the shard from a button. You can also cast Frost Spirit  here and instantly destroy it, so your team gets its damage buff on the shard.

For the boss itself,  Start on Tiger and use it’s f2 to give fury, Do your normal rotation on the boss. For CC you can swap to Wyvern and use Lunar Impact  if you’re in avatar already. Try to pull the mobs as soon as possible and if needed, use  Lunar Impact  & Seed Of Life  to keep them stunned/blinded. When the mobs spawn, you may want to camp avatar a little longer than usual since the pressure on your group goes up by a lot when they are alive!

If your group doesn’t clear the shards fast enough, then you might want to play another build, since conditions will be removed if she stands in the bloodstone shard for too long!

Condi druid at Carin  only works well in very experienced groups, where you also have a Magi’s druid dedicated to healing the team, while you provide Grace Of The land

Since fury should be provided by Condi PS warriors, you can use Jungle stalker to provide some extra might for your group!

Since the boss is basically a golem, you can just use your normal rotation while providing  Grace Of The land  for your group.

if necessary you can help kill the jade constructs with your ranged abilities like Crossfire  & Throw Torch

I would recommend using double CC pets at Samarog , since fury will be covered by Condi Ps warriors. You should use Wyvern &  Pink Moa. During the split Phase, you can use Natural convergence  on Guildhem to immobilize Rigorn, while providing Grace Of The land .

Condi druid at Deimos only works well in very experienced groups, where you also have a Magi’s druid dedicated to healing the team, while you provide Grace Of The land  as well as some minor healing.

I would recommend using double CC pets at Deimos , since fury will be covered by Condi Ps warriors. You should use Wyvern &  Pink Moa this can be really helpful to CC the Sauls that appear on the boss platform.

You can use Natural convergence Crippling Shot  & Entangle  to slow the prides walking to Saul after 40%

Truffle Steak and Superior Sharpening Stones

The Healing nerf of the October 18, 2016 patch doesn’t have a big impact on survivability. Raid groups that run offensive druids such as berserker, wont really notice a difference. So Truffle Steak and Superior Sharpening Stones are still the best option to take.

(Optional)

Delicious Rice Balls and Furious Tuning Crystals

However if your group lacks healing somehow and you still want to run a offensive berserker druid you can use Delicious Rice Balls and Furious Tuning Crystals for some extra healing power.

Power druid is sub-par to Condition druid for every encounter in the game (even Slothasor & Keep Construct) There aren’t many advantages to running power druid ever in raids, since Condi druid can offer the same utility with higher damage. However Longbow knockback is still useful in some encounters, but for the most part, I would reccomend to play either condi or magi druid

Since you can provide enough fury through Call Of The Wild , I would recommend running double CC pets, Wyvern & Pink Moa.

You should run Healing Spring  to cleanse the conditions in each of Matthias’ phases.

You should also block every single vault attack from Mathias, using Sublime Conversion . This is extremely important as he often casts it while people have other mechanics, and is very likely to down your allies, if you fail to block it.

Having Stone Spirit  is an absolute must have at this boss, since protection helps so much when dealing with Matthias’ mechanics. Taking stone spirit is infinitely better than search and rescue, and will prevent nearly any downs, since his attacks will deal so much less damage, if you have protection!

Make sure to burst heal inbetween the expanding red AOEs. You also will need to focus heals on allies who have to move out with mechanics such as poison/special action key AOE. Try to drop Seed Of Life  in avatar more than once when you enter avatar, since the extra condition cleanse can be extremely helpful!

With the spirit trait from nature magic, you can run Spirit of nature  and cast it during Matthias’ Storm Phase to provide Stability  for your subgroup!

You can run Muddy Terrain Entangle Natural convergence  &  Vine Surge  to immobilize the wargs when they come close to Glenna

Magi druid is really nice at Cairn, since the agony fields add a lot of pressure to the fight. Your main goal will be to buff Grace Of The Land  while also providing ranged heals to your allies who have to move away with the agony fields.

You can block Cairn’s projectile attack using Sublime Conversion , which can help relieve some pressure from your team!

One Magi’s druid dedicated to healing the team, while you provide Grace Of The land   is really helpful for this fight!

I would recommend using double CC pets at Samarog , since fury will be covered by Condi Ps warriors and Call Of The Wild . You should use Wyvern & Pink Moa.

You can run a longbow off-hand to push back Rigorn using Point Blank Shot . During the split, You can use Natural convergence  & Vine Surge  to immoblize Rigorn when he is on the boss!

One Magi’s druid dedicated to healing the team, while you provide Grace Of The land   is really helpful for this fight!

Fractal Druid

Check the Fractal section to know where each build is optimal but in general Condition Druid will do the job in most fractals if you cant afford both.

Viper’s AxeTorch (and Dagger) with Geomancy and Earth Sigils

Viper’s Shortbow with Earth and Bursting Sigils (Ranged)

Viper’s Shortbow with Earth and Geomancy Sigils (Melee)

Rare Veggie Pizza Or Prickly Pear Pie and Toxic Focusing Crystals

Since most fights are so short,    Prickly Pear pie  isn’t really needed to generate CA, however if you find yourself really struggling to enter avatar enough, using it is completely fine!
Bowl of sweet and spicy butternut squash soup or Mintberry Ice cream and Fractal specific utilities

Even though you will overcap on crit chance personally, it’s important to bring  Spotter so that other classes can use impact sigils to increase their DPS

(Optional)

Delicious Rice Balls and Furious Tuning Crystals

However if your group lacks healing somehow and you still want to run a offensive berserker druid you can use Delicious Rice Balls and Furious Tuning Crystals for some extra healing power.

This will vary depending on the Fractal. Below is a table specifying which Potion to use in which Fractal. Some Fractals have enemies in them that aren’t covered by the potions we recommend, but overall you will have the right Potion against important Bosses and mobs.

Optional Traits

Skirmishing (311)

Optional Traits

Marksmanship(331) if extra cc is needed.

Glyph of RejuvenationFrost Spirit, Sun SpiritGlyph of EmpowermentGlyph of Unity

For condition-heavy encounters in fractals, take Healing Spring  with Trapper’s Expertise , over Glyph of Rejuvenation .

If your group is lacking CC, then you can take Glyph Of Equality  over  Frost Spirit (if your group is primarily Condi DPS) or over  Sun Spirit (If your group is primarily Power DPS) It’s worth noting that this is a considerable DPS loss and shouldn’t be used unless your team is desperate for extra CC.

  1. Since most fights are so short,    Prickly Pear pie  isn’t really needed to generate CA, however if you find yourself really struggling to enter avatar enough, using it is completely fine!
  2. Try to buff your allies with   Rejuvenating Tides  just before breaking the bosses’s CC bar, to give   Grace Of The Land stacks. Try to save your   Glyph Of empowerment  for when the boss is broken, unless you can cast it again and still have it ready for the next breakbar! In the down time between avatars you should be spamming glyphs to maintain  Grace Of The Land and generate astral force.
  3. Since fury should mostly be covered by Tempest’s pre-stacking or Warriors running “For great Justice” you can replace tiger with whatever pet suits each encounter.  Juvenile Lynx can be used as a personal DPS increase

Pink Moa can be used for additional CC

Tiger is still a good DPS option and should be used if your team might not provide enough fury without it
